Owner and pizza chef Vasu fell in love with pizzas and pizza making more than 10 years when working at a pizzeria in New York.
He bought his passion with him when he moved to New Zealand. After living in New Zealand for a few years he started working at Capizzi when it opened in 2014. In 2016 he had the opportunity to take over the business.
Vasu is passionate about providing Rotorua with the best, traditional wood-fired pizzas in Rotorua. And if you were wondering, the chef’s favourite is Capizzi; pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onion, capsicum, and olives.
